Data Engineer

For one of our international clients, we are currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer to strengthen a growing Data & Analytics environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building modern cloud-based data platforms and wants to contribute to large-scale analytics and AI initiatives within a complex international business environment.

You will play a key role in designing, building and optimizing scalable data solutions that support data-driven decision-making across multiple business domains.

What you will be doing

• Building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines within Microsoft Azure
• Working with technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Function Apps
• Designing scalable and reliable data solutions for analytics and AI use cases
• Collaborating with stakeholders across multiple business domains including supply chain, finance, trading and risk management
• Improving performance, reliability and scalability of existing data workflows
• Implementing data governance standards including access control, lineage and compliance
• Supporting CI/CD processes and DevOps ways of working
• Contributing to technology improvements, innovation and optimization initiatives

What are we looking for

• At least 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
• Knowledge of and experience with Kafka/PySpark Streaming, Terraform (Infrastructure as a Code), DBT and strreaming data solutions are considered as a strong plus
• Comfortable working within Agile / Scrum / DevOps environments
• Someone who combines a practical mindset with modern technology
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in an international environment
• Eager to learn and stay ahead within the rapidly evolving data & AI landscape
• Experience within commodity trading, financial trading or complex international environments is considered a strong advantage.
