IT/OT Business Consultant

Due to increasing digitalisation and a growing need for a data-driven way of working, IT at Daelmans has entered a phase of rapid development. As IT/OT Business Consultant, you play a key role in this. You are the director of digitalisation and automation projects, combining technical knowledge with strategic insight to ensure that solutions are secure, future-proof, and well-integrated. You work closely with your fellow IT Business Consultant, Engineering, Technical Services, and external IT/OT partners. You report to the IT Manager and act as a sparring partner for management and suppliers.

Your role in brief

• Translating business goals into a clear IT/OT architecture for bakeries and offices
• Designing and reviewing integration concepts between production and information systems, such as PLCs, MES, SCADA, ERP, and cloud platforms
• Providing technical support and review for automation and digitalisation projects
• Selecting, managing, and evaluating IT and OT partners, integrators, and suppliers
• Assessing proposals on security, scalability, maintainability, and cost
• Advising project managers and management on technical choices and supplier selection
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation in automation and connectivity

Who are we looking for?

An energetic and communicatively strong professional who recognises themselves in the following profile:

• HBO/university level of thinking and working (in Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or similar)
• Experience with IT/OT, system integration, or technical architecture
• Knowledge of industrial networks, PLC/SCADA, and data integrations is a plus
• Affinity with cloud, security, and industrial standards
• Analytical, technically strong, and communicatively skilled
• Fluent in Dutch and English

What does Daelmans offer you?

• Salary indication: €4,800 – €5,800 gross per month (depending on knowledge and experience)
• A one-year contract with a view to permanent employment
