Manager IT Servicedesk
For one of our valued clients, we are looking for a Senior IT Operations Engineer / IT Servicedesk Manager. In this role, you will work at a nationally operating organisation in the financial services sector, serving as the right-hand of the Manager IT Operations and ensuring that the IT environment remains stable, secure, and scalable.
What will you be doing?
You sit right at the intersection of technology, operations, and process.
- Responsible for daily IT operations (Microsoft 365 / modern workspace)
- Managing and supporting the service desk (1st line)
- Improving and monitoring IT processes (incident, change, access)
- Contributing to and implementing improvements within the IT environment
- Acting as a sparring partner for the Manager IT Operations
- Coordinating external suppliers and IT partners
- Identifying security risks and improving the IT security posture
- Stepping in to resolve operational issues when needed
- Back-up role for application management (±10–20%)
What do you bring?
- Experience in IT Operations / Modern Workplace environments
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Azure / Endpoint management
- Experience with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem)
- You understand how a service desk functions and how to improve it
- Experience with supplier management is a must
- Broad IT knowledge (infrastructure, security, applications)
- You are hands-on and think in terms of processes
