IT Project & Program Management
Security Awares Program Manager
About Behaav
Behaav is a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) specialising in Security Awareness, helping organisations build a culture in which risk-conscious behaviour becomes second nature. They believe in the power of people as the key to effective information security and position themselves as a specialist in Security Awareness.
Where technology and policy serve as preconditions, Behaav's strength lies in structurally improving behaviour, culture, and awareness. From this people-centric vision, Behaav supports organisations on a long-term basis in managing human cyber risk and sustainably enhancing digital resilience.
On behalf of Behaav, RIXT.IT is looking for a Security Awareness Programme Manager.
The team
You will be working in a small and specialised team. Founders Rudy Spinola and Melvin Broersma are closely involved in the organisation and place great value on personal responsibility, craftsmanship, and quality. Lines of communication are short, content is central, and you will have genuine room to take ownership of clients and programmes.
The role
As Security Awareness Programme Manager, you take the lead — drawing on your expertise — in security awareness programmes at Behaav's clients. You combine account responsibility, programme management, and substantive advice within a managed services context.
You work with various stakeholders, including CISOs, IT and security teams, HR/L&D, communications, and business stakeholders. You know how to effectively connect these disciplines around people-centric information security.
Account management
You are the primary point of contact for your clients. You understand their organisation, business processes, and risk profile, and build a lasting relationship of trust with both technical and business stakeholders. From that position, you act as an advisor and sparring partner, helping clients make strategic choices around security awareness and behavioural change.
Programme management
You design and direct tailored security awareness programmes and interventions, aligned with the organisation's risk profile and maturity level. You coordinate implementation independently and in collaboration with colleagues and client teams.
During the programme, you:
- Monitor progress and coherence
- Continuously evaluate effectiveness
- Adjust course together with the client where needed
Consultancy and advice
To advise clients effectively, you stay up to date with the latest developments in information security, with a focus on security awareness and behaviour. You translate these insights into practical applications within ongoing programmes.
You also contribute to:
- Whitepapers and blog posts
- Internal knowledge development
- Positioning Behaav as a substantive market leader, including through presentations or contributions to events
Working method: Bright® – Behavioural Risk Insights
Within its services, Behaav makes use of Bright® – Behavioural Risk Insights. This approach provides concrete insight into where human behaviour actually creates cyber risks.
By working with observations, data, and context, it becomes clear:
- Which behaviours create risk
- In which situations this occurs
- Where interventions will have the greatest impact
This enables you to help clients with targeted, effective activities that connect to their daily reality and demonstrably contribute to risk reduction.
Who are we looking for?
- HBO/university level of thinking and working
- Affinity with the human side of cybersecurity
- Experience in security awareness, cybersecurity, GRC, or related domains is a plus
- Experience in consultancy, project management, or a similar role is a plus
- Interest in behavioural change and organisational culture
- Strong communication skills
- Independent, structured, and results-oriented
- Good command of Dutch and English
What does Behaav offer you?
- A role with a high degree of autonomy and substantive responsibility
- Working in a small, specialist team with short lines of communication
- Varied clients and long-term collaborations
- Room for development and knowledge sharing
- Salary indication €4,000 – €6,000 gross per month, supplemented with holiday allowance, flexible pension contribution, mobility allowance or public transport business card, home working allowance, and the possibility of a 13th month salary and bonus
- Hybrid working and flexibility (32–40 hours)
