Data & BI
Senior IT Business Analyst
For one of our relations, we are exclusively looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to play a key role in the digital modernisation of a large, nationally operating organisation.
The organisation is in the midst of a large-scale transformation with a strong focus on digitalisation, process optimisation, and the deployment of modern AI solutions across various internal departments and franchise locations. Within this environment, you will serve as the strategic link between the business, external IT partners, and suppliers.
You will join an ambitious yet informal and social Data & Digital team, where you will work alongside two other Business Analysts, taking a leading role in steering, prioritisation, and content direction based on your seniority and experience.
What will you be doing?
As Senior IT Business Analyst, you are responsible for gathering, analysing, and translating complex business challenges into concrete IT solutions. You are explicitly not a developer or solution engineer — rather, you are the person who maintains overview, connects stakeholders, and steers suppliers to ensure changes are successfully delivered.
You operate at a tactical and strategic level, liaising daily with stakeholders from both the head office and the franchise organisation. You are skilled at distinguishing priorities from details and capable of bringing together different interests into one shared solution.
You will work extensively on initiatives around:
- Digital modernisation of internal processes
- AI-driven tooling and automation
- Optimisation of existing applications and platforms
- Improvement of information provision and data flows
- Selection and implementation of new tooling and external solutions
Almost all technical delivery is handled by external suppliers. You safeguard quality, progress, requirements, and alignment with the broader IT and business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Inventorying and analysing business needs across various departments
- Uncovering the actual need behind requirements and wishes
- Translating business challenges into concrete IT solutions and implementation trajectories
- Leading workshops, requirements sessions, and stakeholder conversations
- Conducting process, impact, and information analyses
- Drawing up business cases and feasibility analyses
- Coordinating and challenging external IT partners and suppliers
- Monitoring architecture principles and coherence within the application landscape
- Identifying technological innovations and assessing their applicability within the organisation
- Acting as a senior sparring partner for business and management
- Guiding and supporting two other Business Analysts within the team
What do you bring?
- HBO/university level of thinking and working
- At least 7 years of experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Lead Business Analyst, IT Consultant, Product Owner, or Information Analyst
- Strong analytical and conceptual ability
- Experience with complex stakeholder environments and change trajectories
- Affinity with digitalisation, AI solutions, and modern IT landscapes
- You understand how IT organisations, suppliers, and application landscapes function without needing to handle technical delivery yourself
- Experience with process optimisation and information analysis
- Strong communicator, capable of clearly structuring and presenting complex subject matter
- Experience in environments with multiple integrated systems and external suppliers
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, cloud, and architecture principles is a plus
- You are independent, persuasive, and able to provide direction within a changing organisation
What makes this role interesting?
- Strategic role within an organisation that is investing heavily in digitalisation and AI
- A high degree of freedom, responsibility, and room for personal initiative
- Working at the intersection of business, technology, and innovation
- Direct impact on organisation-wide changes
- Senior position with extensive stakeholder management and substantive responsibility
- Informal and social working environment with short lines of communication
What's on offer?
- Salary up to €6.900 per month
- Year-end bonus of up to two monthly salaries
- Highly attractive pension scheme
