Solutions Engineer

As a Solution Engineer, you sit at the heart of the organization. You understand what the business needs, translate this into clear solution designs, and work closely with engineers to bring those solutions to life.

What you will do

You will be responsible for turning business needs into structured, buildable solutions. Furthermore, you work closely with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders across the organization.

• Gather and challenge business requirements to uncover the real need
• Translate requirements into clear solution designs and high-level blueprints
• Work closely with software, integration, data, and cloud engineers
• Ensure solutions fit within the existing IT landscape and architecture
• Support engineers during implementation by refining requirements and designs
• Contribute hands-on where relevant (e.g. integrations, workflows, orchestration)
• Identify improvements and opportunities within processes and systems

Your profile

You combine analytical thinking with technical understanding and strong communication skills.

• 3–5 years of experience in solution design, IT analysis, product ownership, or a similar role
• Solid understanding of modern IT landscapes (APIs, integrations, cloud, data flows)
• Ability to translate business needs into clear and structured solutions
• Comfortable working with both business stakeholders and technical teams
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum)
• Familiar with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps or similar
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
• Fluent in English and eligible to work in the Netherlands

What this role is (and isn’t)

This role sits between business and IT, but with a strong technical foundation.

• You are not a pure developer
• You are not a project manager
• You are someone who designs solutions and ensures they are built correctly

Salary package

• Salary between €4.600 and €5.800 gross per month
• 12.5% bonus (based on individual and company performance)
• 25 holidays + 1 collective day
• 8% holiday allowance
• Travel allowance (€0.23/km or NS Business Card)
• Pension contribution of 24% (3% employee contribution)
